They say all roads lead to Rome. And let me tell you....there are a lot of roads in Rome! And you must make sure you are not in the middle of a "road" (which the roads are no bigger than a large sidewalk) because either a SmartCar or a scooter will run you over! Rome had so much history and so many amazing sites. We were there for three days and managed to see what we thought was mostly everything - but there's always more! St. Peter's Basilica was Derek and my favorite spot. It was amazing how BIG the church was. It is the largest church ever built. I swear, you could have at least 5 large weddings going on at once in there and not even notice each other. We walked, and walked, and walked......

After a long day of exploring, outside of our hotel.

View from the Spanish Steps - Rome is VERY busy. This was the upscale shopping district.

One of my favorite pics - looking out of a window at St. Peter's.

I had Derek stand next to one of the 100s of statues in St. Peter's so you could get an idea of the scale of this place! Amazing!

Just one look at St. Peter's

The Colosseum is HUGE!

Our first stop in Rome.
